Meet Alissa Powell – Your Guide to Better Health and Well-being
I’m Alissa Powell, a registered Nutritional Therapist [BA (Hons), Dip CNM (Hons)] with a focus on personalised, functional approaches to nutrition and lifestyle.
Before establishing my own clinic, I honed my skills at a leading functional medicine clinic, working with clients navigating complex and chronic (and often undiagnosed) health concerns. This experience shaped my practice and reinforced my belief in the value of personalised, holistic care.
I’ve built a reputation as a supportive and empathetic practitioner who enjoys forming strong relationships with clients. My goal is to provide guidance, insight, and practical strategies so you can make informed choices about your health. Together, we’ll explore every aspect of your life—your medical history, lifestyle, diet, sleep, stress, and activity patterns—to identify factors influencing your well-being and create a clear, actionable plan.
Expertise and Personal Experience
With a particular interest in autoimmune, skin, and gut health, I bring not only professional expertise but also personal insight to my work. I also have experience supporting clients with brain health, respiratory health, hormonal balance and stress management. Staying current with research and reviewing scientific literature is something I’m passionate about—it ensures my guidance is informed by the latest evidence.
A Holistic Approach Beyond Nutrition
Over the years, my dedication to holistic health has led me to explore complementary disciplines that enrich my work as a nutritional therapist:
- Buteyko Breathwork: As a certified instructor, I teach clients breathing techniques to support overall well-being.
- Mindful Breathing Advocacy: I authored a children’s mindful breathing book, providing practical tools for younger audiences to enhance focus and well-being.
- Movement Practices: I’m a certified Qigong instructor and training to become a Shaolin Taijiquan instructor, offering gentle practices that support mind–body harmony.
- Reiki Practitioner: As a trained Reiki practitioner, I incorporate energy healing techniques to promote relaxation and emotional balance.

A Passion for Everyday Wellness
Healthy living isn’t just my profession—it’s my passion. I enjoy helping clients discover practical approaches to nutritious meals, daily movement, and sustainable lifestyle habits. I provide guidance on diet, fitness, lifestyle strategies, and recipe inspiration to help clients feel informed and supported in their personal wellness journey.
I believe long-term well-being comes from consistency and making meaningful habit changes. While I guide and support you, your active participation is key to creating lasting improvements that align with your goals.
